Mystic was founded in 2003 by Timothy Sullivan and John Bradley to develop an innovative concept for precision, preservative free delivery of ophthalmic and intranasal drugs. Since its inception Mystic has pioneered breakthroughs in the development of novel ophthalmic and intranasal delivery systems which enable self administration, improved compliance and reduced wastes and costs for both the end user and the pharma/biotech manufacturer. These technological innovations include advances in unit dose container devices, delivery systems and aseptic manufacturing production technology.
The genesis of Mystic's innovations began with a simple question..
"Why do eye drops always overflow out of the eye?"
While the answer to the question itself was simple, the solution to the problem proved to be complex to create, yet ultimately elegant in its simplicity. Mystic's corporate culture of applied innovation and hard science combined with a pragmatic eye towards commercially executable results has attracted a high performance team of engineers, scientists, technicians and support staff. The result is a dynamic team producing technological innovations that redefined industry benchmarks and provide real world solutions for both consumers and pharma manufacturers.
The Mystic Team and Timothy Sullivan were recognized in 2008 by Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry Magazine as one of the top 100 notable people in the medical device industry for their accomplishments in drug delivery.
